Vidyavati Mukand Lal Girls College Ghaziabad established in 1961, founded by great educationist Seth Shri Jai Prakash is run under the aegis of ‘Vidya Kendra’. It is affiliated to Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut and is a Grant-in-aid institution recognized by the U.G.C under 2 (f) and 12 (B). The college has grown to become a premier institution of higher education in the state over the last five decades. It was first accredited by NAAC in 2004 and then was selected by the U.G.C. for Award of College with Potential for Excellence in 2007.
It has been Re-accredited with ‘A’ Grade (CGPA 3.05) on 5th January, 2013 by NAAC. The Department of Education of the college too has been awarded ‘A’ Grade (CGPA 3.12). This proud achievement takes the college to the top rank in C.C.S University, Meerut making college the first and only college with two ‘A’ Grades status. In 2014, College was awarded again with CPE (College with Potential for Excellence) status by UGC.
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is a 2-year degree programme affiliated to ChaudharyCharan Singh University, Meerut& recognized by NCTE , Delhiwhich can be pursued after completing graduation from a recognized university.
