Bachata is a style of dance that originated in the Dominican Republic. It is danced widely all over the world. There are a number of different versions of this dance and it although traditionally danced to Bachata Music, it can be danced to a wide variety of modern dance music.
We teach a variety of dances with a strong emphasis on lead and follow to enable you to dance to a variety of music. Everything from an elegant Waltz, a sexy Salsa or a high energy Rock n Roll, we've got something for everybody at SA Ballroom & Latin.
​How many dance lessons you do and how often you come is completely up to you. We also organize and go out to regular social dance nights in Adelaide, so there's plenty of opportunities to put into practice what you've learnt in class.

Bachata is considered to be a sensual dance characterised with hip and body movements and its close and intimate hold. It is often romantic and sentimental as the songs nearly always tell a tale of romance or unrequited love.
Bachata Dance Classes… We will be starting from the foundation with 5 weeks to complete our Level 1, giving you a good understanding of the importance of tracking, hearing the music and be able to continue dancing in class and on the social dance floor.Â
Southern Salsa is currently focusing on teaching Sensual Bachata in Adelaide and McLaren Vale
