The Bachelor of Arts and Science of Animation student is trained to work as an animation designer and image technology specialist. Animated image specialists are currently recruited in the fields of video games, cinema, television and advertising communication. Educational approach
The baccalaureate student benefits from the project-based learning approach. After teaching basic theoretical, technical and conceptual knowledge, the student must demonstrate their knowledge by participating in an animation project.

The course entitled: “project” is a creative workshop and the theme varies with each session. During this course, the student must carry out a project for their teacher, sometimes playing the role of a client, sometimes the role of artistic director of an agency.

The student is encouraged to work in a multidisciplinary team throughout the duration of their training. Thanks to this approach and a wide choice of courses, each student will develop in a unique way and build their professional portfolio, whether they aspire to be a character designer, animator artist, 2D or 3D animation designer, screenwriter or even a manager. of projects.

Facilities and technologies

In order to enable the creation of innovative and high-calibre animation projects, numerous technological tools are made available to students, including:

  • A digital video and sound capture and editing laboratory
  • An entertainment room with green screen
  • A motion capture and facial capture system

Students will have to familiarize themselves with several cutting-edge animation software programs throughout their studies, including Autodesk Maya , Toonboom Harmony and Adobe Photoshop .

To facilitate the use of equipment and software, specialized technical staff are available on site for students.

The bachelor's degree in art and science of animation can be combined with other technical or university programs: biology, medicine, architecture, physics, music, law, history, museology, to name only these. These combinations allow the student to move towards more specific fields: development of real estate construction or 3D decoration plans, creation of visuals in the medical world, reconstruction of scenes on a legal level, development of simulation programs for aeronautical flights, historical restitutions, for example.
