The purpose of this programme is to train and equip learners to become multi-skilled performers in film, television and theatre. The programme aims to produce versatile, disciplined and professional actors with a thorough understanding of the technical and artistic requirements of acting.
It will also foster a theoretical understanding of the processes involved in the making of productions for the film, television and theatre industries as well as their contexts. On successful completion of the programme, graduates will be able to seek career opportunities in the film, television, radio and theatre industries as freelance performers.
The graduates will have the skill set to perform as actors in a variety of film, television, and theatre acting styles. They will also posses the skills necessary to develop their own work for any of the above industries, including the writing of scripts, devising and marketing of productions, and facilitating workshop processes.
With a degree qualification, graduates may also continue to pursue their academic career at honours/PGCE, which might enable them to seek employment as a teacher.
