This degree brings new elements of tourism to the fore, combining customer service and hospitality with event management and other key factors related to the entertainment arena.
The modules are stimulating and thought-provoking, covering essential and specialist business themes. Students will also study strategic thinking, tourism, contemporary issues in hospitality management and strategic marketing.
The hospitality, tourism and event management degree provides practical opportunities to develop students’ creativity, resourcefulness, curiosity and ability to contribute to the ongoing growth of hospitality, tourism and events management.
Programme Structure:
This is a top-up final year degree programme for SHRM Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management graduates.
The programme includes 4 modules and 1 dissertation to be conducted over 3 semesters in 12 months.
1 semester = 4 months
Each semester consists of 12 teaching weeks and 4 break weeks.
Passing mark: 40%
Academic Requirements:
SHRM Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management or Equivalent.
Applicants must be at least 19 years old by 31 December in the year of enrolment.
All applications are subject to university’s assessment of eligibility for entry into the programme.
SHRM College was founded in 2007 and formerly known as SHRM School of Hospitality & Resort Management. The College had its first intake of students in the Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management program in January 2008 and produced its first batch of graduates in January 2010.
The College was first awarded its provisional EduTrust award by CPE in September 2010. We were awarded 4-Year EduTrust Certification in January 2015. We had successfully received the renewal of 4-Year EduTrust Certification, EduTrust Award, in January 2019.
SHRM College collaborates with the Wrexham Glyndwr University, UK in offering the top up final year leading to the Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Hospitality, Tourism and Event Management (Top-up), Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Business (Top-up) and Master of Business Administration.
In August 2018, Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange, Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China includes Wrexham Glyndwr University, UK Degrees delivered through SHRM College in Singapore, in the certified list of foreign qualifications.

The Diploma is designed to meet the following aims: To provide an educational foundation for a range of entry level careers in hospitality; To provide fundamental studies directly relevant to vocations and professions in the hospitality sector;

The Advanced Diploma in Hospitality (Café Management) course is designed for learners who wish to develop knowledge and skills required by junior managers and entrepreneurs.

The BA (Hons) in International Hospitality and Tourism Management develops students for managerial positions in the hospitality, attraction and tourism industry, as well as to develop their communication skills.
