Employment and demand for qualified personal in both the tourism and hospitality arena is abundant and prospects of career development are fast and wide. It is an important sector to the economy of Sabah and Malaysia.
In order to cope with the growth and demand of the tourism and hospitality sector, this degree programme has been developed specially to cater to the domains of growth and to provide students with the knowledge, competency and know-how to be competitive and to be able to evolve within this very vibrant industry.
In the final year, students are able to specialise according to their strengths in Hospitality, Tourism or Events through a series of electives.

This programme is one of the hospitality management courses/programmes in Malaysia which has obtained full accreditation by Malaysian Qualifications Agency. The Hospitality department is also a member of Euhofa.
The Bachelor of International Hotel and Resort Management (Honours) programme is designed to provide students with a broad business-focused education and training in all key aspects of hotel and resort management.
The BTRM programme is designed to enhance learners’ understanding of the latest concepts, roles, principles and practices in the overall tourism policies and tourism issues.
Bachelor of Hospitality Management (Hons) is offered by Malacca Islamic University.PASS Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with at least 2.00 or; PASS Diploma in a field related to CGPA (CGPA) of at least 2.00 or PASS Matriculation with a CGPA grade of 2.00 or; PASS the Foundation program
