Professional recognition
Graduates are eligible to apply to join the Australian Computer Society as full members.
- Griffith University has accreditation from the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) and graduating Bachelor of Information Technology students with the Information Systems major will have commenced their preparation for industry certification from the IIBA.
- Those Bachelor of Information Technology students graduating with the Networks and Security major will be ready to undertake industry network certification.
Attendance information
- This degree is offered full-time and part-time at the Nathan and Gold Coast campuses and online. You may choose to study courses on-campus, online or a combination of modes to suit your requirements. You may also choose to study courses at other campuses if or where the program structure allows.
- If you are an International student on a student visa, you must ensure that you enrol in a way that will allow you to complete your enrolment within the expected program duration as stated on your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE). The recommended study load for international student in each compulsory trimester is 40CP.

- You'll complete a 20 credit point Work Integrated Learning (WIL) course in your final year. WIL placements, internships and projects offer you the opportunity to learn in an industry setting, engage with professionals and ask questions to help your learning. These experiences are an ideal chance to put theory into practice and earn credit towards your degree. WIL has been designed to integrate students into the workplace through the completion of industry-based work, which is designed to benefit both the student and the industry partner. With placement, students are placed with an industry partner where students attend their placement 2 days a week to produce deliverable(s) for that organisation. With a team project, students are assigned into a team to work on a project from an industry partner. With either choice, students use their placement or team project to demonstrate independent and learning on the job.
