Batra Hospital and Medical Research Centre was established in 1987 by Ch. Aishi Ram Batra Charitable Trust with a vision to provide well-balanced and cost-effective health services. Nursing is an integral part of health care services. In the same year, Batra Hospital & Medical Research Centre set up Smt. Lakshmi Bai Batra School of Nursing which was further upgraded to College of Nursing and offering B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing of 4 years degree programme since 2004, which is affiliated with GGSIP University, and recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and Delhi Nursing Council (DNC).

To apply candidate must be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
ANM or Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery is a 2 year course. ANM Syllabus deals with the subjects like Infection and Immunization, Communicable Diseases, Community Health Problems, Primary Medical Care, First Aid.
Basic BSc Nursing course is offered by Armed Forces Medical College. Armed Forces Medical College is a premier medical institute of India acknowledged as a centre of excellence for education and research.
B.Sc. Nursing course is offered by Sree Abirami College Of Nursing. The four-year undergraduate course in Nursing has been designed to completely train and qualify the students to deal with various aspects with utmost professionalism and care.
The duration of the course shall be four years including internship. The course normally commences as per the accreditation and affiliation authorities. University examinations are conducted during the end of each semester.
