Our Story

For over 35 years Royal Group of Companies has been dedicated to ‘Excellence’. A multi-facetted conglomerate with operations both in India and the UAE, the group is engaged in Education, Shipping, Advertising, Plantation, Hotel, Resorts and Travel & Tourism.

The Education division of the group has evolved from offering multiple programs including Engineering and Pharmaceutical Science courses to today, being a specialist in Hospitality, Hotel Management and Tourism education and operates under the brand name – Munnar Catering College.

Established by the Thachankary Foundation and promoted by Royal Group, the college was set up with the purpose of imparting education and maintaining and operating allied facilities for the promotion of hospitality, tourism, art, culture, social activities etc.

The group operates three campuses in Kerala, India – in Munnar, Cochin & Trivandrum and one campus in the UAE – in Ras Al Khaimah.

The flagship International Campus of Munnar Catering College is located 6500 ft. above sea level in Thachankary Hills, Sooryanelli, Munnar, Kerala. Spread across acres of lush greenery; the campus offers students a serene environment to immerse themselves in training and refining their skills.

The facilities of the College include a helipad, an open-air rooftop restaurant for students, two swimming pools (including a private pool for the women), jacuzzi, sauna, steam bath, two gymnasiums (including a private gym for the women), cricket pitch, amphitheater, convention center, modern hostels, a new international hostel etc.
