DurationOur recreational is designed for dancers up to 7 to 18 years of age, seeking to learn and grow through dance training, in a non-competitive atmosphere. Classes are offered across the board, running September through June and included in our Annual Recital at the end of the season.

Step By Step School of Dance (SBS) has been Ottawa’s family-friendly dance studio where every child is a star.
Whether you join us to give your child the benefits & discipline learned through dance, as an adult, recreational or competitive dancer, our professional staff will assist you in choosing the right combination of classes to suit your needs and meet your goals.
SBS offers a variety of programs suitable for every dancer. From our pre school program tailored to our youngest dancers to our competitive company that trains full-time, there’s a dance class at SBS that’s perfect for you!
This structured ballet class is for young students just beginning in ballet. Same level as Ballet Basic 2.
Just as the toddler stage passes, this class is specifically designed for the milestone of 3 year olds.
Ballet Course is Offered by Performance School of Music and Dance.
All adult ballet participants train at the barre and in the centre, executing a series of classical ballet exercises designed to develop coordination, strength, proper posture, and musicality.
Once students enter grade 1 at school they proceed into 45 minute to 60 minute classes. More focus is placed on proper technique and execution. We continue to maintain age appropriate music and movement for all age levels.
