American Academy of Cosmetology is licensed by the Florida Commission for Independent Education and is accredited through the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences (NACCAS).
At AAC we unite individuals who are passionate about a career in the Arts and Sciences with the education and ability to be a licensed professional for Cosmetology, Barber, Massage (OP only) Full Specialist, Skin Specialist and Nail Technicians.
We have work with the beauty industry to help expose you to greater opportunities in finding a position with a respected salon or shop upon licensure.
This course includes instruction in both theory and practical experience. It also includes all the basic principles of sanitation and clinic sanitation procedures, disinfection, shampooing, simple braiding techniques as it relates to tension on the hair and scalp, state law, anatomy.
The skilled teachers at our school are experts in haircutting, braiding, hairstyling, skin care and manicuring. Demonstrations from outside professionals are provided periodically.
Production makeup artists must be able to style hair. This course teaches hair styling techniques for commercial, editorial, and fashion work. Fundamentals of hairstyling, from basic blow-drying to intricate up-dos prepare students for production work.
This course has a total length of 1500 hours, and it will teach you how to cut, color and shave hair. You will learn various hair cutting techniques and styles, and the best way to do them.
Hair Styling/Hairdressing course is offered by Cannella. We are a family-owned cosmetology school and salon.
