Course Details

Come join us in this ‘hands -on’ cupcake baking class. Learners will learn essential skills such as identifying baking ingredients, exposure to the use of baking equipment and learning fundamental baking skills.

In 3 hours, you will learn to bake blueberry cupcakes (using the All-In method). Impress your family and loved ones with your “baked with love’ cupcakes this holiday.

 

Course Outline:

  • Identify different types and functions of the baking ingredients
  • Practice basic baking techniques
  • Practice kitchen etiquette and safe handling of tools and equipment
  • Participants will get to take home the cupcakes made during the course.
  • This class is open to novice bakers who have no experience in baking.
  • All equipment and ingredients will be provided.

 

Learning Goals:

  • to create an opportunity for learners to learn basic baking techniques in a small group
  • to allow learners to follow simple steps in the recipe, practice hand coordination skills with the use of the various cooking equipment

 

Prerequisites:

  • Eligible for 18 years old and above
  • Able to tolerate the heat when in close proximity of the oven
  • Able to understand and respond to a sequence of 5 to 6 verbal instructions (with minimal prompting)
  • Able to accept correction
  • Able to stand and sustain physical activity throughout the duration of the session. Note that no breaks will be provided throughout the duration except for short bio breaks
