This course in basic fire safety will raise awareness of the dangers of fire, the steps that can be taken to reduce the risk of a fire starting and what to do in the event of fire. It provides an overview of workplace fire safety legislation, the development and spread of fire, actions in the event of fire and fire extinguisher theory as well as an introduction to the roles of the Fire Warden, Incident Controller and the Fire and Rescue Services.
