Fire Industry Training Academy

This course covers electrical safety and safe isolation of circuits. It focuses on the hazards of electricity and the effect on the human body, the electrical supply to a premises and methods of earthing, earth loop impedance and protection of circuits, and the correct isolation of the supply.

This qualification is intended to address the identified requirements for the development of behaviours, knowledge, and skills in relation to the conducting of fire risk assessments in the field.

This qualification is intended to provide individuals with knowledge of the hazards and risks associated with fire in the workplace, how fire risk is controlled in the workplace, the principles and practice of fire safety management at work and the role of the nominated fire marshal.

This course in basic fire safety will raise awareness of the dangers of fire, the steps that can be taken to reduce the risk of a fire starting and what to do in the event of fire.
