Individuals undertaking this qualification do not need to have prior knowledge or experience of fire safety or acting in the role of fire marshal. It will support those wishing to develop their general knowledge and/or those looking to take on the role of fire marshal within their workplace.
In the UK, the terms "Fire Warden" and "Fire Marshal" are interchangeable that is to say, they have the same meaning.
