This unit is nationally recognised and accepted in all states of Australia and covers the training requirements for the new Standard 3.2.2A Food Safety Management Tools.

This unit provides you with the skills and knowledge required to apply personal hygiene practices to prevent contamination of food that might cause food-borne illnesses.  

On completion of this course you will have the skills and knowledge to work hygienically within a food business and the certification to show prospective employers your commitment to food safety.

This unit applies to all tourism, hospitality and catering organisations and is the pre-requisite unit required to complete the Food Safety Supervisor unit.
