Who is it for?

This course is aimed at care staff performing low-risk tasks and other similar duties regarding food handling and preparation within various care settings.

  • Food Safety – Exploring why food safety is so vital 

  • Food Poisoning – Symptoms and Causes 

  • Growth of Bacteria – Temperature Danger Zone 

  • Hygiene Control – Personal Hygiene 

  • Pest Control – Kitchen Layout/design – Temp. Control 

  • Cleaning and Disinfection – Food Hygiene (The Law) 

  • Know the importance of time and temperature of food safety. 

Assessment

Individuals are assessed via a multi-format question paper. 

Certification

Upon successfully completing this course, delegates will be provided with a certificate valid for 3 years.
