This Heart & Stroke Foundation’s course is designed for healthcare providers and trained first responders who provide care to patients in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings or by those that require Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and CPR training to enter into a healthcare-related training program.
This Heart & Stroke Foundation Basic Life Support course contains updated content and science from the most recent guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiac Care.
The skills taught are as follows: one rescuer adult, child and infant CPR; two rescuer adults, child and infant CPR; adult, child, and infant choking; barrier device/pocket mask; Bag Valve Mask (BVM); and Automated External Defibrillator (AED).Textbook and material fee will be added upon registration and will be distributed in class.
