Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR HCP Course

Calgary First Aid proudly offers workplace-approved health care provider CPR (CPR HCP) courses. This course is the most comprehensive CPR course offered through the workplace approved.

It is designed for candidates working in the health care industry such as doctors, nurses, students, dentists, and other health care professionals. Candidates will learn more advanced CPR skills including training in the use of bag-valve masks.

Included in the course is certification and training in the use of automated external defibrillators (AED’s).

Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR HCP Course Length:

The length of this course is 7 hours. It is normally completed within one day.

Course Cost:

The cost of this course is 69.99. Course fee includes taxes, workplace approved certification fee and CPR manual. Workplace and academic approved CPR HCP training in Calgary teaches participants advanced rescue techniques.

Course Content:

Candidates registered in this course will learn to treat victims of the following emergencies:

• Unconscious breathing adult, child and infant victims.

• Unconscious non-breathing with pulse adult, child and infant victims.

• Unconscious non-breathing with no circulation, adult, child and infant victims.

• Conscious and unconscious obstructed airway (choking) adult, child and infant victims.

• Victims in cardiac arrest.

• Victims having circulatory emergencies including heart attacks, angina and strokes.
