Learning Outcomes:
Pot-Tree Ceramic Studio is a dedicated and well-equipped studio for hobbyists, artists, and learners. You will learn to design and shape up the clay with facilities in order to express your view.
Here, the students are introduced to different advanced workshops in glazes and pottery while learning about different firing techniques such as Raku firing and more.
Learning Methodologies:
This course provides you enough room to explore art and design, aesthetics and function, sculpture and product, abstraction and representation - all with the use of clay.
Rashi Jain has trained in ceramics and visual art at the Valley School, Bangalore and the Golden Bridge Pottery, Pondicherry. She has exhibited across India in shows such as Porcelain India (India Habitat Center, Delhi), Bridges: Indian Contemporary Ceramics (The Stainless, Delhi).
In practice, we engage with three media – Architecture, Ceramics and Handmade Paper. We employ design, communication and social innovation as means to address societal challenges in a contextual manner.
Classes cover both hand-building techniques and wheel throwing and are available for anyone above 16 years of age.
The beginner’s course is designed to give students an overview to the medium while picking up the basics of ceramics and pottery
