The course shall provide theoretical and practical knowledge in the safe methods and procedures of rigging and slinging. Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to perform; basic rigging, evaluation of components, safe and proper handling of components, and inspections of components. Participants will also gain knowledge in the application of chains, ropes, slings, and hardware used in rigging.
At the end of the course, participants will have a working knowledge of lifting appliances, identification, Safe Working Load, breaking strength of wire ropes, lifting procedures, selecting the correct sling for lifting, inspection of lifting appliances, color coding, crane signaling, crane boom angle and maintenance.

Rigging and Slinging Safety Training is a specialized program that focuses on safe practices and techniques for lifting and moving heavy loads using rigging equipment and slings.
This course is designed to give participants the necessary skills and knowledge to undertake duties as a Rigger & Slinger and equipping them with relevant knowledge, basic calculation and safe working procedures for lifting operation and to comply with Occupational Safety & Health Act (OSHA) 1994.
This course has been developed for personnel directly involved in rigging and lifting operations, including crane lifting and required to gain certification as a qualified Rigger
Rigging and Slinging course training is offered by SEQU Offshore Safety for personnel who have little or no knowledge of rigging and slinging but work in an environment where such activities occur.
