The Y club currently has training sessions on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. We have coaching sessions open to anybody who can play, helping to develop the many techniques for shooting, passing, dribbling and rebounding. We also have 3 team training sessions per week.
Basketball is one of the most popular and widely viewed sports in the world and the Y club has devoted 3 x 2 hour sessions per week to this much beloved international pastime.

The Y club currently has two teams in the Manchester Area Basketball League Premier Division.
Manchester Y Club is the largest and friendliest health club in the city centre.
Our facilities include a full gym, sports hall, studio classes, swimming pool, Fives courts ("like squash, only better"), sports clubs and much, much more.

Our team of Basketball Development Officers deliver a range of services and activities across Manchester. This includes working with our education and club partners, primary and secondary school coaching etc.
The hall is also used for various other sporting activities including 5-a-side, wrestling and circuit training as well as Junior Y and team building events. At the top of the sports hall we also have a 100m running track.
