The Real Macaron Company is renowned for its fun and informative macaron masterclasses.
This class, to be hosted at the Cake and Sugarcraft Centre in Hedge End, near Southampton, is ideal for beginners and will combine a detailed demonstration and a hands-on workshop, during which each participant will ice and decorate an 8-inch sponge cake.
Julie Hancock will teach you how to prepare a sponge cake for covering in sugar paste and how to ensure a smooth coat. You will learn how to colour sugar paste, how to mould with modeling paste, and how to make simple flowers to decorate your cake.
To complete your cake - ready for any special occasion - you will make a teddy bear in sugarpaste, in a colour of your choice. Julie will share lots of tips and hints during the class and will of course answer all your questions.
Cake, materials, and all equipment are included in the cost of the class and will be provided for you. All you need to bring is an apron.
Light refreshments will be served during the class. Please feel free to bring snacks and a packed lunch.
