Our course meets the Habia National Occupational Standards and covers the various types of hair removal, anatomy and physiology, skin disorders and diseases, contra-actions and contra-indications, reception, consultation, ventilation, technique, male waxing and aftercare.

The course teaches everything you need to know about carrying out a professional waxing service on different areas of the body including legs, bikini line, underarms and facial waxing. Suitable for complete novices, this course focusses heavily on practical training.

Objectives

The main aims of your Beginners Waxing course are to:

• Show you how to carry out basic and advanced waxing techniques using Perron Rigot strip and nonstrip wax. Our focus will be on teaching you to wax safely, quickly and efficiently, while causing minimum discomfort to the client.

• Ensure that you understand all underlying aspects of anatomy & physiology relevant to waxing.

• Educate you about relevant contra-indications and good health, safety and hygiene precautions in line with current HABIA standards.

• Ensure that the correct post-wax aftercare and maintenance advice is given.
