Jodie Easley and Frederika McClary, the husband-and-wife team, founded Easley Boxing and Fitness because they wanted to create a space where people could make a positive change in their lives. They embarked on a mission to build a gym focused on inclusion, community, and personal growth.
Jodie's journey with boxing began 10 years ago in Chicago, where he was able to train with some of the city's great fighters like former light-heavyweight world champion Montell Griffith.
later went on to train around the country with greats like heavyweight Gerard Jones in Detroit. Inspired by their mentorship, Jodie went on to compete in several golden gloves competitions.
Frederika was introduced to boxing 5 years ago. As a former athlete, she fell in love with the intensity and powerful full body workout. Like Jodie, she saw the need for a place that combined an authentic boxing experience with a non-intimidating, supportive environment and culture.
