Dancers will work on hip hop style and technique as well as their rhythm, precision and freestyle to create movement using isolations, body flow and strength. Class will consist of warm-up, centre and traveling exercises and may involve elements of popping, breaking and house styles.
DurationWe offer a boys only hip hop class for the younger ages (only up until 10 years) providing there is enough interest to run it as a separate class! Hip Hop is an upbeat street style of dance integrated with energetic music from various genres.

We offer a variety of programs which are led by our dedicated team of qualified staff in a fun and friendly environment. As a competitive dance studio, our season runs from September to June with our dancers attending various local competitions throughout the year.
Dancers are often encouraged to show their creativity through improvisation, referred to as “freestyling"
Our Adult classes will leave you feeling like you have been challenged and have had a great workout. Beginner level Adult classes will cover new work slowly and allow time for asking questions. Fun and Fitness is the focus.
This class is great for any age and skill set. Hip Hop class helps your dancer to improve their personal movement style, fitness level, and confidence!

The adult dancing program at Cathy's Dance Studio is for everyone, ages 18+. If you have never danced before and always wanted to learn or just want to get back into it, there is a class for you here. There are a number of adult students at all levels and various dance styles in our dance school.
