Bake a variety of breads including your own Foccacia, Cinnamon Buns and Soda Farls.
Learn about the different types of flour including organically grown, Irish stone ground flours.
Have a go at different kneading techniques.
Learn about different raising agents from simple baking soda to harnessing wild yeasts to make your own sourdough starter ( easier than you think !).
Learn how to start and maintain your own sourdough starter
See the process of making Sourdough Bread and learn about the nutritional benefits of sourdough. Note the Sourdough Bread is demonstration only.
Pick up top tips to elevate your baking
Take home your freshly baked loaves of bread along with the recipes and course notes and the confidence to bake at home with ease.
Wee Buns Cookery School is the ideal place to immerse yourself in a hands-on baking or cooking class. Based in the beautiful countryside in Northern Ireland we are passionate about using the best quality ingredients and cooking with the seasons.
These skills might cover cake-making or pastry, meringue, working with doughs or mixing up your favourite flavours.

Here at Cooking It, we love anything that goes in the oven and is sweet. Our ovens are on all the time, whether they are baking bread, cookies, pastry, puddings or cakes, we just love it. The Baking Classes are fabulous fun, especially if you come with a friend or two!
It is a hands on course and throughout the day you will be making a wheat sourdough and a rye sourdough and will be taking one home in a banneton to bake the next day. You will also be taking home our wheat and rye starters to use at home and full recipe sheets.
We will introduce you to a range of flours from Shipton Mill and you will learn about using fresh and dried yeast to make a variety of doughs for different types of bread. Once you have learned these basic doughs, you can experiment at home with different shapes and adding extra flavours to them...
