This skill set provides the basic skills, knowledge and understanding on what it is like to start a career in the bread baking industry. Students will learn sweet yeast products including croissants and brioche, savoury bread products and artisan bread products including sourdough breads.
A bakers uniform must be purchased including white pants, white polo shirt, bakers skull cap and white apron. Closed non-slip black boots are also required.

When you complete the Certificate III in Bread Baking you will be able to start work as a baker.
Learn to bake your own sourdough bread from Bourke Street bakery’s head baker. In each two hour class we will take you through the whole process, turning handfuls of flour into your own warm, crusty loaves.
Bread was good to us for thousands of years, but today bread is seen as a problem in our diets. This session looks at the WHY modern bread may cause digestive and other problems and give you the skills to bake your own additive-free bread.
Bread Baking Classes are offered by Dominique Rizzo for all ages and skill levels. Dominique’s focus is on delicious, creative, healthy food drawing on her professional experiences and her vast range of food knowledge from her European and World travels.Â
