Do you have an interest in the construction industry? Are you keen to learn the craft of bricklaying? This Bricklaying course will help you to develop the skills, knowledge and experience you need to succeed as a bricklayer.
This hands-on course offers the opportunity to learn a variety of skills to help build, repair and maintain the country's housing stock from tutors who have years of experience working within the bricklaying sector.
You will have the chance to gain your CSCS card which allows you to work on a building site, and showcase your skills in inter-college competitions and SkillBuild.
Entry requirements
English and maths at grade 3 or above

English and Maths
Bricklayers need core English and maths skills to be able to provide estimates, mix ratios of materials and take measurements.
English and maths will be embedded into practical and theory sessions, reinforcing communication, information and calculations.
Where can I progress?
You can progress onto the Level 2 in Bricklaying or another construction course at Level 1 when you successfully complete this course. You will need to reach the college benchmark for attendance in vocational topics, English, Maths, and work experience.
