Course detail & modules

• On this course, you will learn about various methods and techniques required for successful construction projects and site management. The course content is contemporary and emphasises the knowledge and skills you need for sustainable development and construction.

Your studies will cover:

• Procurement and tendering method and process management
• Project and resource management
• Contract administration and risk management
• CAD and BIM
• Building technology
• Building regulations and construction law.

Regular seminars will be held during term time where we invite professionals, academics and people from professional accreditation organisations to speak. These provide opportunities not only to enhance your knowledge but also for you to make professional connections.

In addition, we will arrange visits to construction sites and the manufacturers of construction materials, which can help you to see how the theories you learn in class apply in the real world.

There may also be opportunities to participate in competitions held by some professional bodies. By taking part, you can gain a greater understanding of construction project management and the building industry as a whole.
