For seafarers who have already done the mandatory DG approved courses, certain foreign principals to cut short the period & the expenses are asking their Seafarer to do Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET) (3 days & 5 days) which is on OPITO guidelines & this course is also accepted by certain foreign principals (OCB Dubai, GEO Services Singapore, RDC Bahrain).
