Course Details

FireDirect will conduct a detailed building and external site inspection and ascertain the following:

  • Work practices and issues which need to be dealt with when developing evacuation procedures including;
  • Special hazards
  • Disabled employees
  • Special locations
  • Residential buildings
  • Sensitive locations
  • Security considerations
  • Staff numbers

 

Any risks and hazards found within or near the site which may interfere with occupants’ safety. Appropriate and safe exterior assembly assembly points.

 

The building sites safety and essential services, including:

  • Location of fire indicator panel/s (FIP).
  • Location of Warden Intercommunication panel (WIP).
  • Type of fire detection system.
  • Location of portable fire extinguisher and hose reels.
  • Fire isolated stairs and areas.
  • Exit pathways and doors.
  • The most appropriate exit routes from all areas of the building.
  • Fire warden communication points.
