Apprenticeship Details

This qualification is ideal for anybody who works in an administrative role. It is suitable for any sector or industry and will develop a broad range of skills to work efficiently and increase productivity.

The qualification has been designed to cater for the wide range and diversity of job roles where competence in administration is vital. The key focus is to contributing to improved service delivery, increased productivity and produce focussed and empowered employees and organisational success at all levels.

Your assessor will visit you in your workplace on a monthly basis for the duration of the qualification. You will be assessed using a variety of different methods, for example, workplace observations, assignments and online tests. Where possible, your assessor will endeavour to use your daily work activities as the means of assessment.

You will also work towards a maths and English qualification as part of the apprenticeship.

You may be required to attend college for some parts of your programme, your assessor/tutor will advise.

Modules

Level 2 NVQ in Business Administration

Learners must achieve 21 credits overall, 9 from the mandatory units and 12 optional which include:

  • Improve own business performance in a business environment

  • Work in a business environment

  • Bespoke software

  • Provide reception services

Level 2 Certificate in Business Administration

Learners must complete 4 mandatory units which can be assignment based or online tests. These units are:

  • Principles of providing administrative services

  • Principles of managing information and producingdocuments

  • Principles of supporting change in a businessenvironment

  • Principles of personal responsibilities and working in a business environment

Entry Requirements

  • Aged 16+

  • You must be employed within a relevant environment and demonstrate at least entry level skills in an initial Maths and English assessment.

You must have one of the following:

  • 4 GCSE's at grade 3 (old grading system D)

  • A relevant level 1 qualification

  • Evidence of the relevant knowledge, skills and behaviours required by the sector at Level 1
