Build My English was started in August 2012, by Richard Rose. He was an ESL teacher at West Valley Occupational Center (WVOC) and other adult schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District. He saw that these schools focused on grammar and that the classes were so large that students didn’t get enough personal attention.
Grammar is important. It gives students the structure they need to learn. However, children don’t learn English by taking grammar classes. They learn by speaking. Adults hear them speak and correct them when necessary. That is how children improve.
In Business English, students will be acquiring an overall understanding of language and basic concepts of business and economics. This course introduces key concepts in areas of production, corporate structure, marketing, logistics, international trade and finance.
When it comes to conducting business on a global scale, American English is an incredibly valuable and marketable skill set. Everyone understands the power of an American Dollar bill.
We design our Private and Group Business English classes to help students improve their communication skills.
This program focuses on English in an international business environment. Students learn about business customs and practices from around the world, learning from American teachers, with students of various nationalities.
