Regulators in Canada have recognized the need to augment their expertise by increasing their understanding of the interactions between regulatory policy, private business, not-for-profit organizations, and the citizens they serve.
Carleton University responded to this need by offering a professional development program tailored to the needs of the regulatory professional.
The Career Development for Regulatory Professionals (CDRP) program is an advanced professional development program for leaders in all aspects of regulation, from policy to implementation. The curriculum is built around four key components of the regulatory life-cycle:

In the context of globalization and the diminishing role of the state, this course examines ethical issues that arise for business and individuals in business.
Students will complete the course with a clearly established plan on next steps in achieving their career objective.
Communicating in the Workplace builds teamwork skills and gain a solid understanding of workplace expectations
After completion of this full day workshop, participants will get the opportunity to book a 1-on-1 follow up session with a facilitator to receive individualized feedback.
During this session, participants will be inspired to re-ignite their careers, access tactics to leverage their strengths, and build successful careers.
