A short Carpentry course cost R7000 and takes 4 weeks. after training you get a carpentry certificate. After the carpenter course a students is awarded a certificate and becomes qualified carpenter at minimum fees(costs) . .
Modules for Carpenter training include:
Anatomy of a house.
Basic projects
Finishing walls and ceiling.
Enlarging openning and removing walls.
Framing and installing doors.
Framing and installing windows.
Adding shelves.
Adding cabinets.
Choosing countertops.
Outcome after the training:

Apply health and safety legislation to a work area in the form of standards and procedures, including the rendering of basic first aid.
Set out and prepare construction carpentry work areas.
Construct and erect steel and timber formwork and shoring.
We train people how to operate machines used in construction, mining, and building. We also train Boiler making and welding courses.
During your studies you will learn the fundamental aspects of carpentry and joinery. You will gain knowledge of fox-wedging, timber connectors, floor trimming and boards, masonry nails and hanging doors, which will improve your understanding of the processes within the construction industry.
The course has 15 lessons of up to 2 hours each, divided up into three levels of five lessons each. When the course has been completed, students wh had no prior (or very little) woodwork knowledge are able to start doing simple woodwork projects on their own.
