You will participate in practical activities that develop specialist techniques specific to carpentry and joinery. This will be underpinned with some basic theory that will outline the application of safe practices within the construction industry whilst developing an understanding of the materials and equipment used in carpentry and joinery and across other trades.
There may be opportunities to engage in work experience offering an insight into the construction industry and across other trades and their contribution when working on a construction project.

As an Apprentice Joiner, you could be working on site fitting windows, stairs, skirting boards or constructing partition walls, or you could be employed as a bench joiner making items of furniture such as staircases etc.
