They use traditional woodworking tools as well as specialised power or hand tools for cutting, shaping, smoothing and finishing. Once completed you can progress on to level 3 Advanced.
An apprenticeship is a job with training. You will be employed at least 30 hours a week, with 80% of your working hours in your day-to-day role, and the remaining 20% of your time engaged in training or study.

This course is a great introduction to woodworking. The course is for one day, and you will be using hand and power tools to make this box in solid oak and contrasting top. During the day you will learn cutting, planing, and machining techniques.
