In his 18 year career as a Technical Teacher, Rob taught Apprentices and Prevocational Students how to Manufacture Furniture and Safely use Woodworking Machinery. During this time, he also taught Adult Education in the evenings and on weekends, to 1,000’s of South East Queensland people who wanted to learn Woodworking. Renown for his Woodturning Courses, Rob is currently one of Brisbane’s leading Adult Woodworking Teachers.
In the mid 1990’s Rob decided to also teach Furniture Making and Router Courses based upon the success of his Woodturning Courses. Today his courses range from Furniture Making, Use of Hand & Power Tools, Specialized Router Courses, Woodturning Courses, Grinding & Sharpening, Toy Making to Furniture Restoration and many more.

Due to popular demand, we are excited to be holding 2 day Introduction Furniture Making Courses. In two fun-filled productive days, you will design and create your own hall table or coffee table .
This CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry provides a trade outcome in carpentry, covering work in residential and commercial applications. The qualification has core unit of competency requirements that cover common skills for the construction industry, as well as a specialist field of work
This program is delivered over a period of 3 years. The length of time to complete this qualification will depend on the location, study mode and/or units selected and will vary depending upon how long a student takes to reach the required competency level.
Over 4 weeks in a small group of up to 4, the teacher will support you as you progress though your self-directed project/s at your own pace. Once inducted on the machinery you will also have access to our workshop 6 days per week so you come back and work autonomously throughout the entire 6 week...
Student will learn the knowledge and practice the skills necessary to work as a carpenter in the real world. You’ll also learn about the safety and business dimensions of working in this exciting industry.
