This class is designed for beginning students. Students will learn about the critical components in safety, the use of hand and power tools, and blueprint reading. Whether you want to get a job in construction, remodel existing projects, or just increase your level of confidence in home projects, this course is for you!
Successful completion is required for CIX 7006 Carpentry II and CAB 8300 Furniture and Cabinet Making.

Woodworking course is offered by Old School Makerspace. The only thing better than having a one of a kind wooden bud vase is making your own!
Master hand and power tools to elevate your woodworking skills! In this advanced class, you will get a review of tools and their proper usage as well as individualized guidance and demonstrations on advanced design.
Students learn the safe and proper use of hand tools and how to read and draw basic woodworking plans. Students start woodworking in Pre-Kindergarten learning the basic fundamentals of measuring, and cutting, and their skills increase each year.
