This course provides the student with carpentry basics. It follows the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) training format.
This class is designed for beginning students. Students will learn about the critical components in safety, the use of hand and power tools, and blueprint reading. Whether you want to get a job in construction, remodel existing projects, or just increase your level of confidence in home projects, this course is for you!
Successful completion is required for CIX 7006 Carpentry II and CAB 8300 Furniture and Cabinet Making.
