Let’s get you going with the skills and techniques to produce the perfect fondant covered celebration cake without any nasty rips, bulges or ‘elephant skin’

Come and learn our three trade secrets to getting the right finish to your celebration cake, one of which is our secret fondant handling and rolling technique.

During this one-day class you will learn how to and produce a beautiful 6-inch fondant covered round celebration cake, which will not only amaze you, but your loved ones too.

Don’t worry we will supply everything needed for our class, from the cake to the board and everything in between.

The class will cover the  handling and colouring sugar paste, covering boards and cakes to achieve a smooth finish. We will also introduce you to some simple yet highly effective ways to decorate your cake successfully. If you are interested in cake decorating this class is an essential starting point.

We also show you the first stage to a buttercream covered cake and the essential steps to getting this right first time

 

By the end of the five-hour class you will have been taught how to:

  • Fondant covering techniques

  • Secrets to achieve a smooth finish

  • Sugar paste features

  • Creating the sugar paste decorations

  • The all-important finishing touches

  • Splitting cakes

  • Filling cakes

  • Basics of buttercream covering cakes (For Drip Cakes)

You will leave the class with:

A beautifully decorated 6-inch round cake designed and decorated by you in a presentation box! (Please let us know if you would prefer to decorate a dummy cake)

The ability to work confidently with buttercream, food colouring, and fondant. Secrets of a professional presentation for your cakes

Our classes are great fun, but informative too. Everything is provided for you, including the apron. All you have to bring with you is your fabulous ideas!
