Cello Lessons are offered by Amabile School of Music
The importance of one-on-one lessons with your dedicated music teacher is to focus on the fundamental of technique, note reading, rhythm, musical expression, music theory, development of practice routine at home and preparation for students’ performance or exam opportunities.
“As a concert pianist, I realized over years of teaching how crucial it is to nourish a young musician. Students can either be touched by great joy and curiosity during their first introduction to music or they can be greatly defeated by the technical challenges and seemingly rigid practice routines.
Amabile School of Music, established since 2008, is a result of my desire as a musician and a music educator to create a musical environment where children and adults can freely explore all aspects of their musical curiosities.
Along with our wonderful faculty, we hope to impart a deep appreciation of music as an art, and introduce the joy of making music to all who enter our doors.”
The cello is a fascinating and versatile instrument that anyone can learn to play. Welcoming all levels from beginner to advanced. Lessons feature technique, music theory, thumb positioning skills, notes and scales, compound cords and more
Cello Lessons are offered by Portland Music Collective. Most music schools have “faculty.” At Portland's only music education cooperative, we call our music teachers Cooperative Teaching Artists (CTAs).
Our string instructors will teach all styles of music, from learning to play by ear to reading music. If you want to play classical music or the fiddle, we have a teacher for you. Students can be as young as 5 years old, or younger with the teacher's approval
Cello Lessons are offered by Chicago Center for Music Education
Cello students are taught to develop a proper and natural hold of the instrument and the bow. The names and pitches of the open strings and finger numbers are then explored and bowing techniques and finger positions are taught to enable the playing of simple melodies and exercises
