We work with each student to help them develop skill sets that are values and virtues in and outside of music. These include but are not limited to: discipline, goal setting, listening, critical thinking, communication, criticism, creativity, self-expression, collaboration, concentration, and problem-solving. Our goal is to help students develop an informed knowledge of the cello and instill a true love of playing.
Cello is a lifelong study and requires tremendous patience. To grow on your instrument requires mastering thousands of little steps one at a time. Lars & Carlise's natural, genuine demeanors with children, coupled with their outstanding musical talent aids their students in learning at a pace that is comfortable for them.
Blue Tree Music Education is a music school based in South Minneapolis in the Corcoran Neighborhood. We teach private music lessons, including piano, voice, guitar, bass, cello, viola & violin, as well as offer songwriting classes, early childhood music classes, summer camps, workshops and much more. We are also the home of the Blue Tree Songbirds, a neighborhood children's choir.
