Cello Lessons are offered by Music Center of the Northwest
About Private Lessons:
Private lessons are the key component to reaching one’s full potential as a musician. There are many benefits to taking private lessons at Music Center of the Northwest. Through one-on-one study, a music student receives complete attention in their lesson.
However, beyond the weekly repetition of being asked to perform tasks, listen, and answer questions is the great strength of private lessons; the student is working with a teacher/mentor who helps guide their musical life.
Your teacher’s work with you goes beyond the 30 to 60 minutes you are in your lesson each week. It includes organizing recitals and performances, preparing repertoire, and many other activities designed to help each student gain the skills and enthusiasm that lead to lifelong involvement in music.
At Music Center, we believe the best learning happens through weekly private lessons. Students taking traditional lessons have the opportunity to enroll in The Royal Conservatory Certificate Program, a comprehensive and effectively sequenced program of music study and assessment.
History:
Founded in 1989, Music Center is Seattle's oldest community music school and is a member of the National Guild for Community Arts Education and an Associate Member of the Washington Music Educators Association.

This class offers cello students of intermediate and advanced levels the opportunity to explore all things cello within a collegial group setting. This allows for peer input and the chance to explore a particular topic or theme in greater depth than can be covered in weekly private lessons alone
The most effective way to learn to play an instrument is through private lessons. One-on-one instruction allows the teacher to maximize the potential of each student. Academy students receive 30, 45 or 60 minute lessons, once or twice a week, depending on their age and level
Our cello teachers teach a variety of styles ranging from classical, jazz to popular music. Whether you are a beginner or higher level, we are dedicated to helping you become an accomplished cellist
