You will gain foundational skills in fashion illustration, colour theory, technical production sketches, Computer Aided Design specific for fashion design, as well as some fashion industry knowledge.

The PatchWorks conducts a number of quilt making classes throughout the year including a free tuition beginners quilt class for those who would love to make a quilt but don’t know where to start. We have three class terms and publish class lists prior to commencement of each term.
Become familiar with your sewing machine by learning about each part of your machine, how it works and how to maintain it. This is a single class specific to your machine, booking is essential.
Jewel Box is the quilt pattern that we have chosen to teach you how to use your Aussie Quick Quilt Cutting System Effectively. The size of the project is entirely up to you as Jewel Box is a very adaptable pattern.
You will work through basic information on choosing a pattern, fabrics, cutting out and sewing. In this class you will make a pair of pull on pants (allow at least 2 classes) or a skirt with a zip (allow at least 3 classes).
