Barbering Course Content:
Servilles Academy was established in 1993 by Paul Serville (Founder and Director) who has over 50 years of experience in the industry. The academy was created with the intention of training the next generation of Hairdressers in New Zealand.
Over the years the academy expanded, offering Barbering and Makeup courses, becoming Australasia’s leading and most award-winning Hairdressing, Barbering and Makeup academy.
This Level 4 program of study will equip learners with the skills and knowledge to begin working commercially in a barbershop.
Mature students and school leavers over 16 years welcome to apply for both our pro courses and pro workshops.
Barbering is an art form which is highly sought after in New Zealand and abroad, whether you want to have your own barbershop, gain employment or work overseas.
The New Zealand Certificate in Hairdressing Salon Support will give you foundation skills and knowledge of the hairdressing industry. BHB Academy operates from a purpose-built, fully equipped salon that runs commercially for authentic assessment purposes.
Gain knowledge of salon culture, hierarchy and specific industry terminology as you begin your hairdressing career. Learn reception duties, salon support, elementary styling tasks, including blowdrying, moulding, setting and long hair ups and an introduction to cutting and colour treatments.
