This qualification will give you the skills you need to work in a range of support positions in Human Resources Management including personnel administration, personnel services such as recruitment, industrial relations, training and development, human resources planning and knowledge management.
In this course you will learn the practical skills needed in the Human Resources profession, you will develop your skills in how to have a difficult conversation, manage workers compensation, administer performance development processes, support employee and industrial relations and support the learning and development of teams and individuals.
You'll also learn how to coordinate recruitment and onboarding, support human resource functions and processes and implement and monitor WHS policies, procedures and programs.
On successful completion of this course, you will have gained the skills you need to seek employment in HR teams in both large and small businesses.
In smaller companies you may work across all human resources areas, whereas in larger companies you may be assigned certain responsibilities in areas such as remuneration, workforce planning or human resources information systems.
You may also like to use this qualification as a pathway to further study at TasTAFE, and go on to study a related Management qualification at Diploma level.
