This is an opportunity for those fairly new to sewing, or those who want to improve their skills, to learn how to use a commercial dressmaking pattern. This workshop is aimed at those wanting to make for small children.
I’m hoping to offer a small range of patterns, from which you can choose to make two. Children’s clothing uses smaller amounts of fabric, often leaving a remaining piece. I hope to show you how to be economical and learn to use up remnants and even upcycle from existing clothing.

Firstly a bit about me, Jan Grafton. I moved to Timsbury, from South Oxfordshire in 2015 and have enjoyed settling into Hampshire life. In 2014 I decided to take early retirement.
I have taught textiles and food technology for more than 35 years in state Secondary Schools but felt I needed to explore other directions to allow me time to spend more time with my family and nurture my own creativity.
You will learn more advanced crochet stitches including Amigurumi, Bobble Stitch, Spike Stitch, Wool and crochet hook will be supplied.
These sessions are for confident beginners, as we run other workshops alongside these sessions. Join our ‘Late Night Sewing’ sessions if you require more focused, intensive, professional and technical sewing guidance and advice.
Sewing classes for adults are offered by Sew and Reap. You will learn the basics of sewing. You will learn how to thread a machine and get you started on your own projects.
