The Bishopbriggs School of Music is one of the leading independent music school's in Scotland. We are based in Bishopbriggs, Glasgow and we offer to all levels of - beginner, intermediate, or expert - students from aged 6yrs and above the opportunity to learn music across a number of instruments and disciplines. We teach the following, Electric / Acoustic Guitar, Drums, Piano / Keyboard, Bass Guitar, Saxophone, Clarinet, Ukulele, Flute, Vocals / Singing, Violin / Fiddle & Music Theory.
The school was established in 2002 by Peter O'Neil who has over 25 years of teaching experience. The School is RockSchool, Rock & Pop and Trinity College London accredited. Our lessons are held at the School or via ZOOM Online. All our tutors are highly experienced, full-time musicians and all have full PVG disclosure.
We have free parking at the school. In response to the COVID19 pandemic, we have invested heavily to make our school a safe and secure environment for our students and staff. The clarinet was developed from a baroque instrument called the chalumeau around the 18th century. The sound range of a clarinet is huge, covering both high and low pitches.
Clarinet classes are offered by Leicester Music Lessons. We encourage our students to participate in concerts held throughout the year to build confidence & provide a supportive environment to showcase progress.
You can learn to read music as part of the process, but you can also learn to play by ear if you prefer. We can teach any style from classical to jazz, including improvisation.
