It is important that a younger student’s hands also be big enough to properly play the instrument. Because of the upright way that the clarinet is played, and the fact that it shares many similarities with the saxophone – many clarinet players also double on the saxophone, and vice versa.

Clarinet Lessons are offered by Community Music Center. Community Music Center makes high quality music accessible to people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities, regardless of financial means. Classes are offered on a sliding scale and some are completely tuition-free.
